Pinewood Toronto Studios is a key tenant in the emerging Port Lands neighbourhood and soon to be Canada’s largest purpose-built film and television studio complex with the assistance of development manager Castlepoint Numa. Less than three kilometres from the downtown core, Pinewood Toronto Studios currently sits on approximately 21 acres of land, with options to expand to approximately 34 acres. Pinewood Toronto Studios currently supports 11 sound stages, including the 46,000 sq. ft. Mega Stage and will have 16 sound stages and support spaces totaling over 500,000 sq. ft. when the current expansion is completed. Castlepoint led the last three major expansions of Pinewood Toronto Studios and set an ambitious vision for the waterfront site to create an urban film and television campus that includes upgrades and improvements to Pinewood Toronto Studios’ film and television studios, flexible spaces for media and innovation and complementary uses, such as culture, retail and hotel.
